During Men's Day, the city centre will be filled with fun activities, tastings and challenging games. Check out what's on offer below.

Metamorphosis campaign
Two gentlemen will receive a complete metamorphosis during Men's Day, provided by various entrepreneurs in the city centre.

The participating entrepreneurs are:

• Roshin, Langendijk
• Hair salon Nour, Westwagenstraat
• Van Beuzekom Mode
• Betheman
• Bronkhorst Podo Linéa
• Bronkhorst Schoenen
• Specsavers

From hairstyle and clothes to shoes and new glasses. Participants will be completely dressed in new clothes.

Tough challenges
Between 12.00 and 17.00, you can take part in playful challenges at various locations in the city centre.

Jeans hanging
Location: junction Arkelstraat and Gasthuisstraat

Keeping the ball high
Studio Foekema organises this challenge at various locations in the city centre, where scores are kept and two referees at Studio Foekema provide extra atmosphere. Of course, the music is not lacking either.

Tastings
During Mannendag, you can taste something tasty at various entrepreneurs.

• Beer tasting at De Buurman
• Wine tasting at Henri Bloem
• Whisky tasting at 't Kleine Uiltje

Men's magazines and books
At De Boekenkist, you will find a nice selection of men's magazines and books during Men's Day. Walk in for inspiration, a good gift or something nice to read yourself.

Men's Day

Father's Day is coming up and therefore men will be in the extra spotlight on Saturday 13 June during Men's Day in Hartje Gorcum. A great moment to head into the city centre with your father, grandfather, brother, friend or son for an afternoon full of sporting challenges, metamorphoses and, above all, fun

In the city, visitors can take part in various activities. These include a boxing ball and a jeans-hanging contest, where participants can test their strength and stamina. Scores will be kept and the best participants will have a chance to win fun prizes, including a bottle of whisky and a tattoo voucher from Tattoo More worth €50.

Studio Foekema also participates with a playful football action. Men can try to keep the ball high as long as possible, while two referees keep a close eye on everything. Of course, music will be provided everywhere.

In addition, several entrepreneurs from Hartje Gorcum are cooperating in a metamorphosis campaign for two gentlemen. Participants will get a new look with the help of local entrepreneurs: Roshin Barbershop, Kapsalon Nour and Pelikaan Barbier will take care of the hair, Van Beuzekom and Betheman will take care of the clothes, Bronkhorst Podo Linea and Bronkhorst Schoenen will provide a pair of new trainers and Specsavers will provide a fitting pair of glasses. The call for this action is running through Hartje Gorcum's social media channels. Until Monday 8 June, you can still send entries, including a name, clothing & shoe size and age.

With sporting challenges, local entrepreneurs and plenty to see and do in the city, Mannendag is a fun occasion to visit the city centre together just before Father's Day.
