Daniel Roos - Mother's Day Concert

A heartwarming concert full of music, poetry and emotion - an ode to mothers

On Mother's Day, Gorkum singer and pianist Daniel Roos will give a special performance in Theater Peeriscoop. Especially - but certainly not exclusively - for mothers, he will provide an intimate musical afternoon, focusing on his warm voice and virtuoso piano playing.

During this solo concert behind the grand piano, Daniel will present a carefully composed mix of his own work and special covers. In this hour, the audience will get an atmospheric foretaste of his full-length musical cabaret performance. With feeling, humour and poetry, he takes his listeners into stories about love, family and everyday leven .

2025 saw the release of his first Dutch-language album Avondland, released as a CD with a book. This release combines music, poetry and visual art: the song lyrics and poems are accompanied by paintings by artist Yohannez. At the Mother's Day concert, some songs from this album will be heard, interspersed with readings of poems from the book. In addition, Daniel chooses some beautiful covers especially for this occasion that will touch mothers of all generations.

Besides his solo work, Daniel Roos is known as the frontman of the Piano Man Band, with whom he pays tribute to his musical heroes BillyJoel and Elton John. Theatre audiences also know him from his collaboration with Hague comedian Sjaak Bral, with whom he regularly shares the stage.

This Mother's Day concert promises to be a warm, personal and musical afternoon - a gift for all mothers and everyone who loves beautiful Dutch music.
