On Saturday 19 September 2026, the Lingehaven in Gorinchem will once again provide the atmospheric backdrop for the Lingehaven Concert. This year, the concert will be entirely dedicated to classical film music under the title ‘Lingehaven at the Movies’.
From 8.00 pm, conductor Jules van Hessen will take the audience on a journey through recognisable masterpieces and exceptional musical gems from the world of film. Accompanied by a large orchestra and various soloists, it promises to be a magical summer evening full of musical excellence by the water.
The special guest at this year’s event is soprano Josephina Louise Hoogstad. She graduated from Fontys University of the Arts and, in her final year, was awarded the prestigious Jacques de Leeuw Prize for outstanding young talent. She went on to continue her studies in Italy, where she performed leading roles and won several international awards.

New for this year’s event is the afternoon programme, which starts at 1.00 pm. Ahead of the evening concert, the Lingehavenconcert Foundation is organising an Open Stage event where musicians from Gorinchem and the surrounding region can showcase their talent to the public.
