Festival weekend Woudrichem

This year, Woudrichem will again be all about cosiness, tradition and entertainment for young and old.
The programme is as follows:
Wednesday 13 May to Sunday 17 May - Fair on 't Rond
The fair will return to 't Rond, after last year's success. The opening takes place on Wednesday afternoon 13 May at 13.30, with a festive kick-off by Dance for Days from Sleeuwijk. Until Sunday afternoon, visitors can enjoy rides, games and delicacies. The fair is open daily until 10.30pm.
Thursday 14 May - Fish-frying competition on the Hoogstraat
On Ascension Day, the traditional fish-baking competition takes centre stage. Local bakers, hobbyists and enthusiasts compete for the title of best fish baker of Woudrichem. A tasty tradition that attracts many spectators!
Traditionally, the day ends with a cosy party on d'n Bol, organised by Bargoed Events.

Saturday 16 May - Medieval regional market and rug market
Medieval regional market (11am-6pm): This takes place in the fortress and is organised by Leven de Vesting. Visitors can enjoy crafts, atmosphere, music and medieval activities. The market is organised by Leven(de) Vesting.
Dressing market (09.00 - 12.00): Op 't Rond, in/around the Rondeel
A cosy market for young and old, where everyone can sell their own stuff.
