On Saturday 22 August, the annual Open Day will take place at the Hendrick Hamel Museum . On this ‘Hamel Day’, the museum is open to the public free of charge from 10.00 to 17.00, and various fun activities will be taking place.

On this day, you can learn about the story of Hendrick Hamel, who was born in Gorinchem in 1630. Guided tours will take place at 11.00, 13.00, 14.30 and 16.00. (Maximum 15 people per tour). You can also take part in a fun Korean cookery workshop. The cost is €6 per person, payable at the museum reception on 22 August. (Maximum 10 people per workshop).
