From 14 December to 5 January, Gorinchem transforms into a winter wonderland during the Winterfestijn! Come skate on the indoor ice rink around the fountain on the Grote Markt. After skating, enjoy a delicious hot chocolate - a perfect outing for young and old!

2| Glow & Glühwein

Illuminate the dark winter days with a unique evening walk through Gorinchem! During Glow & Glühwein, walk past Gorcum façade stones and listen to fascinating and funny stories told by the guide. Look up and discover a different side of the city.

The evening starts with a delicious warm-up: pea soup and a drink. After the walk, you will be treated to hot chocolate with whipped cream and something sweet. A perfect combination of history, conviviality and winter delicacies!

3| Route of Light

On Saturday 14 December, Gorinchem will be extra atmospheric during the Lichtjestocht! Together with Santa and his elves, you will walk from Buiten de Waterpoort via the vestingwallen to Stadhuisplein. On the way, you will hear pleasant Christmas songs and once you arrive, Father Christmas and the (children's) mayor will festively light the Christmas tree.

The tour ends with hot chocolate with whipped cream, and all children receive a Santa hat and a light wand to take home. A magical experience for the whole family!

4| Cosy Christmas markets

On 14 and 21 December, the atmospheric Christmas markets in Gorinchem are the place to get into the Christmas spirit. Stroll through the cosy, covered Passage and discover unique stalls full of beautiful gifts, festive decorations and delicacies. Enjoy the music, lights and cosy parade.
