In the exhibition ‘Andermans Veren / Animals in Art’, the Hendrick Hamel Museum and the Gorcums Museum have joined forces to present a special exhibition full of contemporary animal art.
From 4 October, at the Hendrick Hamel Museum Museum, you will discover work by artists from Gorinchem and its surroundings, from realistic paintings of cows and sheep to bronze sculptures, drawings and photography of animals of all shapes and sizes. An inspiring outing for art lovers and families who want to see something different from the standard exhibition.

Tracking with the Gorinchem children's treasure hunt
For young explorers aged 4 to 8, there’s the Gorinchem Children’s Treasure Hunt. Armed with a cheerful activity booklet, children set off in search of animals hidden on the façades of buildings in the historic centre.
They take more than 2,000 steps, learn about the town through play and, of course, earn a reward at the end.
