Parking is free on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.

Indoor car parks

The indoor car parks at Kazerneplein and Kweeklust offer paid parking Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm (until 8pm on Thursday). Parking is free at all other times. The parking fee is €1.38 per hour. Charge points for electric cars are also available in the car parks.

Disabled parking

Buses and coaches

Parking for buses and coaches is available at Kanselpoortweg 1, Gorinchem.

By public transport

Gorinchem train station is an easy walking distance to the historic city centre. The train to Gorinchem runs between Dordrecht and Geldermalsen. Trains run in both directions almost every 15 minutes during the day. You can plan your trip via the public transport website 9292.nl/en.

The bus station is directly outside the train station; the stop is ‘Gorinchem, Station (perron D)’. Both local buses and regional buses depart from the station. You can find the departure times on the website 9292.nl/en.

Ferry service

Ferries depart from Gorinchem to Sleeuwijk, Woudrichem, Werkendam, and Hardinxveld every day of the week. This form of transport is popular with daily commuters. You can bring your bike on the foot ferry for free.

During the tourist season, there is also a ferry service to Loevestein Castle and Fort Vuren. Check the website of Riveer for the departure times.
