Here at the Doe Zolder, you can be the artist. For this exhibition, the Doe Zolder is filled with street art. And this time, artist Luuk de Greef is the star of the show! He’s exhibiting his own work and has created a mural especially for the back wall, depicting how he sees Gorcum. Have a look around and check out the different pieces. Perhaps they’ll give you a great idea for decorating a wall. And those empty walls? They’re there for you! Create your own street art tag or masterpiece!
What is a Tag?

A tag (or graffiti tag) on a wall is a kind of signature or symbol of an artist, often applied with a spray can or marker in a single colour. It shows that the artist has been to that spot.
Although many graffiti tags are illegal, there are also many legal spots in towns or at skate parks where spraying is permitted. Spraying over someone else’s work (a ‘piece’) is often frowned upon.
What is a Masterpiece?
Tags are often quick sketches, but can also be created in more elaborate forms using multiple colours; these are referred to as a ‘piece’ or ‘masterpiece’. Soms they look just like paintings. Featuring multiple colours and beautiful, original illustrations, they can be quite serious soms and include a little humour soms .
Get started
We’ve got blank walls here ready for your own street art. Leave a cool tag or create a masterpiece. You can paint directly onto the wall (but not over someone else’s work) or use one of the small canvases lying on the table. Create a lovely piece that you can hang up here or take home to hang on the wall of your own room!
