Bliek op Groen

Discover the beautiful nature in Gorinchem. Along the city walls, along the river, right through the greenery. Four unique walking routes have been developed, each starting and ending at one of the historical city gates.

The routes last between 17 and 25 minutes and take you past special places, stories and sounds. Along the way, you will hear inspiring voices: from the city ecologist and a bat expert to an arborist, a confident adolescent and even a young five-year-old nature guide. They talk about everything that lives and grows: trees, mosses, invasive exotics, birds, bats, bees, water, pavement plants... you name it. Gorinchem's nature comes leven - with sounds, voices and surprising facts.

🎧 The routes are free to listen to and walk on your phone. The voice-overs show you the way, while the city and nature show their best side.

For young and old alike:
'Bliek op groen' was created primarily for and with young people (secondary school students), to strengthen their connection with nature and the city. Not from a biology book, but in echt life: feeling, smelling, hearing, seeing. But of course, the tour is also perfect for anyone who is young at heart and curious about what lives in our greenery.
