Visit Dussen Castle

From April to September, the castle is open for visits every Sunday*. In the winter season (October to March) every second Sunday of the month.

Reservations for Sunday visits are not required. Come along, be surprised by the stories and experience the history of the pearl of Altena. welkom!

With a guide

April to September: every Sunday, starting at 13:00 and 16:00
October to March: every 2nd Sunday of the month, starting at 13:00

Entrance fee: €3 (4-12 yrs) everyone above: €5 p.p.
Payment by debit card/contactless is possible

On your own

April to September: every Sunday from 14:00 to 16:00
October to March: every 2nd Sunday of the month, from 14:00 to 15:00

Entrance: 0 to 3 years free; everyone from 4 years € 3,- p.p.
A guide and/or volunteers will be there for -extra- information.
At 17:00 the gate closes again

The castle is closed on Easter Sunday, Whit Monday and both Christmas days. On Easter Monday, however, the castle is open. And also on Whit Monday, during Castle Day.
