On Saturday 13 September 2025, Gorinchem will once again open the doors of its most beautiful monuments during Open Monumentendag. A unique opportunity to discover places that normally remain closed, complemented by special activities in the city and the region.
Open Monument Day in Gorinchem
In Gorinchem, several striking buildings can be visited for free on Saturday 13 September from 10am to 4pm. The Werkgroep Vesting Gorinchem will also arrange special openings of fortress parts that are normally not accessible. Think bastions, restored buildings and hidden places that take you into the rich history of our fortified town.

On Sunday 14 September, there are also free museums and a special city walk at 2pm.
