About 120 statues, objects and reliefs stand, lie and hang in the public space of Gorinchem. Soms clearly visible, soms in hidden places. The booklet Beelden in Gorinchem gives an overview of the recent sculpture stock and is - complete with maps - a wonderful guide to see and (re)discover the sculptures in the public space.
The booklet includes two walking routes through the city centre. Both are about 3 km long and start at the Grote Markt near the Gorcums Museum. The sculptures in the suburbs are easiest to reach by bicycle.
The booklet is for sale for € 3 at the VVV tourist information office. There you can also rent city and electric bikes.
