Dit is in Bethlehem is one of the most beautiful monuments in Gorinchem. In the facade, you can see several sculptures. One is a Christmas scene with the text'Dit is in Bethlehem'. This may have come from the Friars Minor Monastery in Arkelstraat, where some of the Martyrs of Gorcum also lived. After the conquest of the city by the Beggars, the monastery was demolished and the stone incorporated into this building.
