Summer has started and you can feel it in every street and square in Hartje Gorcum. The city centre is buzzing with activities and events, from atmospheric music evenings and cultural surprises to film under the stars. Whether you like classical music or theatrical city stories: this month too, there is something for everyone. We would like to take you through the highlights of July.
28 June - Lingehaven concert: Vivaldi by the water
We start this summer series with a special evening on 28 June. During the very first Lingehaven Concert, the Kriekenmarkt will be the atmospheric setting for an intimate classical concert. The Maestro Jules Orchestra, conducted by Jules van Hessen, will perform Vivaldi's famous Four Seasons. A wonderful mix of music and ambience, in the middle of the city and by the water. Bring your own chair, find a spot and get carried away by the music. Or enjoy the concert from your boat on the water.

29 June - Sunday afternoon Blues at Élan
On Sunday 29 June, join Élan for an afternoon of soulful sounds. During Sunday afternoon Blues, The Blue Diamonds will play a delightful set full of blues music. Combine that with a good glass of wine, tasty bites and the relaxed atmosphere of the terrace and your Sunday is complete.

4 to 6 July - Hippie Festival Gorinchem
Peace, love & music! During the Hippie Festival from 4 to 6 July, we celebrate freedom, creativity and the iconic music of the 60s and 70s. Expect live music by Gorcum musicians, a colourful bazaar with vintage and handmade items, vintage cars and a relaxed atmosphere. Come in your best flower power outfit and immerse yourself in this ode to the hippie era and that just in Hartje Gorcum.

9 July - Wine & Dine Event at The Local Club
On Tuesday 9 July, join us for an evening of flavour and experience. During The Local Club s Wine & Dine Event, you will enjoy a six-course walking dinner, accompanied by carefully selected wines. Wine experts will tell you more about the flavours and combinations, and Kaatje Jans will provide delicious cheeses. An evening out for the connoisseur!
12 July - Summer party at 't Uyltje
Cocktails in hand, sun on your face and tropical beats in the background. On Friday 12 July, 't Uyltje will transform into a summer oasis. Boozin Bartending will mix your favourite summer drink, and from 20.00 the party really gets going. Time to dance!
13 July - Cultural Sunday
On Sunday 13 July, Hartje Gorcum shows its creative side. During Cultural Sunday, you will discover art, music, dance and local culture at various locations in the city. Be surprised by performances, exhibitions and creative makers - a day to put in your diary if you love culture close to home.
