IVN trektocht De Biesbosch

Multi-day walk

In 4 or 5 days you will trek through the beautiful Brabant and Dordrecht Biesbosch. Every day, you walk about 15 to 20 kilometres off the beaten track. There are no markings in the field, so you navigate the route via the free app IVN Routes. On the route, you can visit several other Hosts of the Biesbosch for an overnight stay(book yourself or have it done), a cup of coffee with a strong story and/or a nice lunch.

Longing for the other side

Longing for the other side is at the heart of the multi-day trek. Not for nothing does the route start Buiten de Waterpoort in Gorinchem, where you take the ferry to Woudrichem. And although not compulsory, listening to ferryman Thomas' audio narration makes the walk a lot more fun. He leads you with special stories along the waterliniepad, the vast nature of the Oost- and Noordwaard in the Brabant Biesbosch and then the Dordrecht Biesbosch.

So pack your rucksack soon, lace up your walking shoes, don't forget to fully charge your phone and head out into nature!
