Petit café La Caponnière is a meeting place just outside the centre of fortified town Gorinchem, located in an old bombproof gun emplacement of the UNSCO World Heritage Site 'The Dutch Waterlines'.

La Caponnière is a special building from 1893 hidden in our rampart. As soon as you enter over the entrance bridge, it immediately feels special, casual and cosy. A echt 'living room feeling' where wood-burning stoves burn in winter. And where, when the weather is nice, you can sit on the terrace on the rampart, a special place!

At Petit café La Caponnière, you can enjoy special beer, wine and drinks boards. I also serve various specialty coffees accompanied by a tasty piece of cake or a toasted sandwich on the terrace or snuggled inside by the wood-burning stoves. Even if you just want to take a look at the Caponnière, you are welkom. I will be happy to tell you all about it!
