The Brakel-Herwijnen ferry is a car ferry from Riveer across the Waal river. The ferry sails every 15 minutes daily and is a practical connection from north to south and vice versa. With the busy A2 motorways on one side and A27 on the other and its favourable quarter-hour services, it is a perfect alternative route. Many people therefore take the ferry to work or school every day. The ferry accommodates cyclists, motorists, as well as trucks and agricultural vehicles up to 55 tonnes.
